I need some tips on wording a baby shower invitation?

I need to include th eobvious details, but I would like to add that we are having a girl and her name to the invitation. What is the best way to do that? And should I have an RSVP by date? I f so what is the time frame to when the party is?

So far I have:

Our names
Date
Time
Where
Rsvp with Jody by _____??
It’s a girl – Her name
The shower is July 21, 2007. When should they RSVP by?

If the shower is July 21st, then the RSVP date should be at least two weeks before…so around the 7th or 10th.

That should give you enough time to figure out who’s coming and who’s not.

As for your invitation – Just to be on the safe side, I wouldn’t put the name of your baby on it. I don’t mean to be rude, but sometimes women are told that they’re having a girl, and it turns out to be a boy.

They should RSVP by June 30th so you have 21 days to figure out seating arrangements and stuff.
The way you have the “It’s a Girl-her name” is fine but I would put it on the top of the invite, not the bottom.

I think what you have is good!Yes I do think you should have a RSVP that way you know how many people are coming.

Baby Showers that I have been too are in the afternoon but there not say over 4 hours. One I went to was from 12-2.

I would have people RSVP maybe a weeke or 2 ahead before your baby shower.

Congrats on having a girl!

When I had my baby shower, the very first line said,

“Please join us as we celebrate the upcoming arrival of (our daughter’s name) AVARI!”
Everything was pink so saying that it was a girl was pretty unnecessary. The guests were asked to RSVP only one week prior.
It was a blast, everyone enjoyed it. Good luck with yours!

6 weeks in advance is the usual time to mail invites, especially if there will be out of town folks there. And a week or two before the event is when to set the deadline for RSVP.
Hope this helps.
