have a 3 month old corn snake that won’t eat?

I got a baby corn snake about 2 months ago but it won’t eat. I’ve tried exposing the brain and it still acts like it isn’t interested. i try feeding it twice a week but nothing. Is force feeding too stressful for a 3 month old snake? the diameter of the snake is smaller that the diameter of the newborn pinky.

Is my Dog rejecting her pups? How do I help? Newborn puppy care?

*This question is ideally for breeders with the actual experience of rejected pups*
*The pups are already born, so please leave ‘don’t breed’ comments at the door*
* I have absolutely no idea what I’m doing and have only vets and kind breeders words to go on – please help*
*p.s Make a cup of tea – my worry comes in the form of a long long message – thank you so much for your time and help!*
Back story: I trusted a family member to keep eyes on my 1yr old Pomeranian/jack russell cross when in heat – they failed their mission drastically and she got pregnant.
6 Pups were born 31/08 – 1/09,
one was still born (she gave birth to it without me seeing – SHE WAS SO QUIET – i think she crushed it while tending to the other 4 pups, i tried for 10 mins to resuscitate the pup back to no avail, even mouth to mouth –  very sad) *please save telling me how I could of saved this pup other ways cause it’ll break my heart and make me cry*
It may also be worth noting: 3 pups were born with sacks over their head – she thankfully allowed me help her without 2nd thought but it worried me that she didn’t instinctively go to remove the sacks I HAD to help her, she went straight for their cords unconcerned by their lack of breathing first…
We went to the vet on day 2 and he said she had done as well as she could have, examined her for left over placenta and gave her an antibiotic to help with milk let down. I also was concerned as she wasn’t drinking any water – I had to (and still have to) spike it with a drop of milk or mix it into her food. My worry being she wouldn’t produce milk, the vet mentioned bitches milk to me for the pups if needs be and said to give her some too, it wouldn’t do any harm. They had none there that day, only kitten feed.

How can I convince my newborn (2 wks) to sleep?

She wants to eat every 3-4 hours (bottle), and WAS falling asleep shortly afterward, but today had NO interest in sleeping at all, aside from ONE 3 hour nap. She just wants to be held, which I LOVE doing, but I wonder if maybe I’m holding her TOO much. I didn’t think it was possible to hold a newborn too much. Also, when she IS awake, what can I do to play with her at this young age? I don’t want her to get bored with me just holding her all of the time, feeding her, changing her, and telling her how pretty she is. I talk to her all of the time, I was just wondering if there’s something more I should be doing
And I do realize that I can’t really “convince” her to sleep, I was just under the impression that newborns slept a LOT and apparently I’m supposed to sleep when she sleeps, …. (that won’t be happening :O) ) I was just wondering if it was normal for a 2 week old to get “bored” with the sleeping all time routine. I just really want her to be happy and always feel loved.

What are the child custody and visitation laws for newborns in Texas?

I am fixing to have my baby and the father is my now ex and has not been around throughout the pregnancy. He is wanting the infant to stay overnight with him even though I am breast feeding and it is not in the best interest of the child. He is very irresponsible, selfish, and does not know how to care for an infant (basically he scares me!). How should I proceed if he does take me to court for visitation rights? Has anyone been thru this before?

Is there any side effects from a doctor putting a feeding tube threw a newborns head?

My son wasn’t feeding through anywhere else so the doctor put the tube in his head instead of trying the other foot and the nurse told me before i got to see him and see what they did to him “i can’t believe what they did to him your gonna be mad”. but when he was growing up i thought there was something wrong with him from them doing that to him he barely ever talked so i brought him to a speech therapist because when he did talk he would mumble only his brother knew what he was saying and has night terrors. a therapist diagnosed with ADHA but i think it was probably cause by them feed him threw his head. because hes having trouble focusing in school. and he says like he don’t have control over his thinking process at times. Thank you in advance into any input Ive look all over online and haven’t came up with nothing any input would probably help.
He was born under stress to and he had a spinal tap before the put in the feeding tube.

How long should a newborn breastfeed at each feeding?

My son is a week old today and up until yesterday he has been doing good with breastfeeding but I have a few questions.. In the beginning he was nursing 15-20 minutes at each feeding about 2-3 hours apart. He was seen by the lactation consultant when he was 4 days old and had gained back 4 ounces of his weight and the nurse said he was getting enough to eat. Now, starting early yesterday, he will only feed for about 5-10 minutes before he falls asleep. I play music and play with his feet to try to keep him awake and feeding longer, but it seems he is full after only that long. He is eating more often but only sometimes, sometimes he’ll go the full 3 hours still but more often it’s 1.5 to 2 hours. He wets plenty of diapers every day but seems to have diarrhea.. very watery, sort of curdled looking poops, and not very many of them. His poops tend to be very small, some as small as a quarter size with not much actual ‘poop’ in it, more watery.. I’m worried he isn’t getting enough to eat although I’m offering it to him whenever he seems interested in eating. I don’t know what I’m doing wrong.. or if this is normal.. since they said he was gaining weight at my appointment the 12th. I also notice that he seems to be gulping when he feeds. I’m using a nipple shield right now because he had a poor latch and now I’m engorged and he can’t get his mouth around more than the nipple itself.. when I feed him the nipple shield gets full very fast and I have to sometimes empty it before he can feed, so I know my milk is well established and there is a lot of it. He seems like he’s sort of gagging and gulping when I feed from the right side, he does much better with the left, but still gets hiccups after about half of his feedings and sometimes will spit up an entire feeding (has happened 3 times since he came home.) Any ideas what’s going on? I want to be sure my little one is getting enough to eat!

How much time to commit while fostering newborn kittens?

Hi,

I’m interested in fostering a kitten(s) or cat. If I want to foster newborn kittens (the ones that still need bottle-feeding), do I have to be at home at all times to keep an eye on them and feed them?

I’m a college student and usually have class for 3-5 hours a day on the weekdays. I do have a couple 1-hr. breaks in between classes, where I could come back and feed and check up on the newborns. But I know I would feel anxious about them whenever I am away from them. How much time does caring for newborn kittens take?

My rabbit isn’t taking interest in her newborns. We are looking after them. Feeding them KMR. Will they die?

my rabbit has rejected her baby rabbits two have died because she trampled them and we tried to get her intersted in the other two to no avail. We are trying to save them now as she won’t feed them. We have kitten milk and a feeding them with a dropper and keeping them warm. we are being careful not to drop too much milk too them but to give tham waht they want but are unsure how often then should be fed. We read on the net that they only require once every 24 hours as this is how the mother feeds them. What are their chances of survival?
